Organised by the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (the CMA), the 12th Hong Kong Food Carnival (the Carnival) will take place at the Kwai Chung Sports Ground from 25 October to 2 November. This nine-day culinary and shopping extravaganza will feature 320 stalls, offering a wide array of product options, delicacies and discounts. Visitors can enjoy live entertainment and immerse themselves in the vibrant spirit of Hong Kong for a memorable day out.
At today’s (16 October) press conference, Dr Wingco Lo, President of the CMA, stated that the “tourism is everywhere” initiative and the collective efforts to develop a “mega event economy” have continued to improve retail market sentiment. “Riding on this positive momentum, the Hong Kong Food Carnival will showcase local and global food cultures to visitors, offering an affordable yet high-quality shopping experience. Looking ahead, the CMA will continue to innovate, leveraging the synergy of ‘exhibitions plus food’ and ‘exhibitions plus tourism’ to inject vitality into the retail sector.”
The Carnival will feature 320 booths spread across six thematic zones: Health Preserving Zone, Leisure Food Zone, Kitchen and Dining Utensils Zone, Chillax Zone and Yummy Food Zone, and the newly introduced Hometown Flavors Zone, offering a diverse range of affordable products. Throughout the Carnival, three waves of promotional offers will be available. A highlight is the brand-new “$10 Happy Deals” initiative, where dozens of selected items, including white wine, healthcare products, assorted snacks, and cured sausages, will be available for just HK$10 each.
Two dedicated catering zones—the Yummy Food Zone and the Chillax Zone—will host over 70 stalls presenting more than 100 local and global delicacies, a variety of alcoholic beverages, and bar snacks. The Chillax Zone will also feature a bar area where mixologists will craft limited-edition cocktails live. A special Happy Hour promotion will be available daily at 3pm and 5pm, offering 50 complimentary glasses of red and white wine each session. All of this, complemented by live busking performances, is designed to provide a relaxed and vibrant experience for visitors.
Mr Ivan Sze, Vice President of the CMA and Chairman of CMA Exhibition Services Limited stated that the CMA aims to make the Carnival a one-stop platform for shopping, leisure, and entertainment. Beyond exclusive shopping deals, the Carnival will offer a series of prizes with a total value exceeding HK$600,000 and 27 exciting performances. “In response to the growing health consciousness among citizens, we have organised four ‘Healthy Cooking Show’ sessions this year,” said Chairman Sze. “These will feature professional chefs and cooking tutors demonstrating how to make nutritious and tasty meals.” Coinciding with Halloween, the Carnival will also hold various Halloween-themed activities, including a spooky parade, magic shows, and a Kid’s K-Pop dance competition. Families are encouraged to dress up and join in the festive atmosphere.
The Carnival will be open daily from 11am to 9pm. Admission fee is $6; however, free admission will be offered to all visitors from 7pm onwards.
